I am a graduate student studying physics at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada. My research project involves developing a dark matter detector based on superfluid helium at extremely low temperatures. I am also a former graduate teaching assistant for engineering students. I have a background in mechanical engineering and have worked mostly in the aircraft engine industry. I decided to join the Peace Corps and begin my teaching career. I have taught in public schools in the Indianapolis area for 15 years. I have also taught internationally in Amman, Jordan for the past 5 years.
