In a Writing class a student would learn about: How to come up with ideas for writing and how to develop those ideas. The different ways to structure a piece of writing, including paragraphs, sentences, and overall organization. The different ways to revise and edit writing, including grammar, punctuation, and clarity.
A tutor can help a person be better at Writing class by: Using technology to help the student improve their writing skills. This could include using a word processing program to help the student learn grammar and spelling, or using a program like Quizlet to help the student learn vocabulary. Helping the student to develop a good study habits. This could include teaching the student how to take notes, how to organize their thoughts, and how to study for exams.
